Me as an educator:

I enjoy teaching students at all levels, from complete beginners to advanced musicians. My lessons are always personalized to suit each student's needs and musical interests. Whether you're preparing for grade exams (Rockschool, Trinity, ABRSM) or just want to learn your favorite songs, I ensure you develop proper technique to grow as a guitarist, pianist, or ukulele player.

I have 20 years of experience teaching guitar and piano to students of all ages and levels, with 16 of those years spent teaching in the UK. My lessons cover a wide range of genres, from popular styles like rock, pop, and classical piano, to more unique sounds such as flamenco, Mali blues.

Throughout my teaching career, I've worked with students as young as 7 in primary schools, all the way up to HND level, tailoring my approach to suit each learner's needs.

In addition to teaching, I also compose for a chamber ensemble that features a string quartet, as well as minimalist music for solo piano. For these recent collaborations, I've had to learn two new instruments: double bass and clarinet. This process has been a valuable reminder of the challenges involved in learning something new from scratch.

This experience has deepened my empathy for students during guitar lessons. I understand the frustrations they might feel when techniques seem difficult to master, but I always encourage them to keep going. The reward of finally producing beautiful music makes all the effort worth it, and I bring this perspective to each of my guitar and piano lessons.
