My experience:

Me as a musician:

From the moment I picked up the guitar, I’ve been collaborating with other musicians—whether in duos, trios, or full bands. My initial inspiration came from the legendary Jimi Hendrix, whom I still consider the greatest guitarist in the history of electric guitar. Since then, my musical interests have expanded across a wide range of genres. I’ve played with various bands, exploring everything from grunge to traditional Irish folk and jazz.

My drive for continuous learning has also led me to delve deep into the world of modern jazz, from its roots in bebop to the avant-garde sounds of free jazz. This diversity in experience is what shapes my approach to teaching guitar and piano, as I strive to bring a well-rounded understanding of music to my students.

The music of artists like Wes Montgomery, Pat Metheny, John Coltrane, and Ornette Coleman has deeply influenced my understanding of harmony and improvisation. Their work taught me invaluable lessons, which I now incorporate into my guitar and piano teaching.

I also compose music for a chamber ensemble featuring a string quartet, piano, as well as minimalist compositions for solo piano. This balance between performance and composition allows me to bring a well-rounded, creative perspective to my guitar and piano lessons.
